As the original Westfield chassis was designed to take a Ford 1700 cross flow engine this had to be adapted to accept the 1600 Twin cam all ally Alfa Romeo Guillia engine, that was supplied by The Engine Tuner second hand. The engine was then stripped and rebuilt, with lightened and balanced crank shaft, conrods, fly wheel, gas flowed cylinder head- Unleaded, fitted with twin 40 Dellorto carbs 32mm chokes. Dry sump system made by Pace Products, of Bury St. Edmunds. |
| Space frame altered to accept Alfa engine. The propshaft had to be fabricated and machined. This was done in house by Mario making it a one off. Stainless steel manifolds and exhaust, by HAywood and Scott are fitted. The electric's had to be re-routed, as they were on the opposite side. The project took a period of a year to complete as the customer was not in a rush, but just wanted a good job done. | ![]() |
